REASONABLE FEES. EXCEPTIONAL VALUE
One of the biggest misconceptions about working with a CPA is the assumption that CPA services automatically cost more than national tax preparation chains like H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt, Liberty Tax, and similar providers. In reality, many of these tax preparation companies charge fees that are comparable to—or even higher than—what many CPAs charge for individual returns such as Form 1040, Schedule C, and other common filings. What most taxpayers don’t realize is that CPA pricing is often far more competitive than expected—especially when you consider the level of expertise, accuracy, and strategic value included in the service. Yes, there are situations where a CPA may charge more, but typically only when the return requires deeper analysis, advanced tax planning, or additional representation support. The payoff is significant: you are working with a licensed professional trained to identify opportunities, reduce risk, and protect your financial interests—not simply complete a form. Certified Public Accountants are held to rigorous educational, ethical, and professional standards. That means you gain more than a completed tax return—you gain confidence, clarity, and peace of mind knowing your taxes are being handled by a trusted expert. And you don’t have to take our word for it. We encourage you to explore resources from the AICPA, FICPA, and the IRS to better understand the standards and responsibilities that CPAs uphold
OUR COMPETITORS

National tax chains such as H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt, and Liberty Tax promote speed and convenience—but convenience can come at a cost. Consumer complaint platforms reflect concerns from taxpayers who felt the service delivered did not match what was advertised.
Many of these companies market rapid refund options as an advantage over filing through a CPA. However, expedited refunds are typically financial products—not faster IRS processing—and may involve additional fees and terms that reduce your overall return.

When preparation fees and add-on charges are factored in, taxpayers may ultimately pay more than expected.

At My CPA, PA we focus on accuracy, compliance, and strategic tax planning—not shortcuts. Our priority is protecting your financial outcome, not selling speed
